Painfully honest church billboard: ‘God is on your enemies’ side’
An area megachurch is trying to recover from a public uproar over its new freeway billboard with the brutal-but-true message to drivers that “God is on your enemies’ side.”
“We only meant to discourage selfish prayer and reaffirm Matthew 5:44,” said Pastor Tyler Baker of the Bountiful Affirming Belief Center, referring to the bible verse in which Jesus Christ tells his followers to “love thine enemies.”
